Our Mother center

Shedup Kunsang Chöling

Shedup Kunsang Choling is a Vajrayana Buddhist center dedicated to the study and practice of the Nyingma tradition, particularly following the Dudjom Tersar lineage. Established in 1999 by Lama Tenzin Samphel under the guidance of Kyabjé Khetsun Sangpo Rinpoche and with the blessing of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the center serves as a sanctuary for meditation, spiritual teachings, and personal retreats.

Nestled in the tranquil village of Septvaux in northern France, Shedup Kunsang Choling offers an environment conducive to reflection and learning. It houses Dra Gyur Vairo-Ling, a translation group responsible for producing original translations of sacred Buddhist texts and practices, as well as Pehar Ling, a comprehensive library featuring an extensive collection of works on Buddhism. These resources are available for consultation and borrowing, providing invaluable support to practitioners and scholars alike.

In 2001, the center received official recognition from His Holiness the Dalai Lama and became an affiliate of the Union Bouddhiste de France. Faithful to its mission, Shedup Kunsang Choling remains a welcoming space for all who seek to explore the profound teachings of Vajrayana Buddhism in a peaceful and supportive setting.
